Hariwa Institute of Higher Education academic council undertakes specific task including research evaluating and determining curriculum  monitoring research plans predicting and designing short-term and long term developing plans and policies specifying faculty members ranks based on academic standards, specifying academic timeline approving professor appointments receiving and faculty members and finally appointing spelling academic vice chancellors.

The council meetings are organized monthly. The members of this council are the university.

Chancellor, academic affairs vice chancellor, student affairs vice president, financial and administrative vice president and presidents of the three department of the university.
